AI Visibility Report Disclaimer

Important information about the nature and limitations of our reports

Key TakeawayOur reports provide automated estimates of brand visibility across AI search platforms. They are not official results published by any AI platform, and they should not be treated as definitive measurements. Always verify critical findings independently.

1. Reports Are Automated Estimates

All reports, visibility scores, citation counts, and analyses provided by GEO Visibility are generated through automated software systems. These systems submit structured queries to various AI platforms and analyze the generated responses to estimate how and how frequently a brand is mentioned, recommended, or featured.

Because these reports are produced automatically without human review of each individual data point, they may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. They represent a snapshot in time and may not reflect the most current state of any AI platform's outputs.

2. Not Official AI Platform Results

GEO Visibility is not affiliated with or endorsed by any AI platform, including but not limited to OpenAI (ChatGPT), Google (Gemini, AI Overviews), Anthropic (Claude), Perplexity, Microsoft (Copilot), or any other generative AI provider. The metrics, scores, and analyses presented in our reports are:

  • Our own estimates based on our proprietary methodology;
  • Not official metrics published or endorsed by any AI platform;
  • Not representative of any AI platform's internal ranking, scoring, or recommendation systems;
  • Subject to the inherent limitations and biases of automated analysis.

3. Confidence Levels Explained

Where applicable, our reports display confidence levels alongside specific metrics. These confidence levels indicate the statistical reliability of a given data point based on factors such as:

  • Sample consistency — how consistently the same result appeared across multiple queries.
  • Query variance — how results changed when query phrasing was slightly modified.
  • Platform variability — how results differed across AI platforms.
  • Historical pattern — whether the result is consistent with past observations.

Confidence levels are approximate indicators only. A high confidence level does not guarantee accuracy, and a low confidence level does not necessarily mean the data is incorrect. Confidence levels should be interpreted as one of several factors in evaluating the reliability of a metric.

4. Methodology Overview

Our methodology involves the following general process, which may vary by report type and plan tier:

  1. Query Formulation — We construct structured prompts based on your brand, industry, and target keywords.
  2. Multi-Platform Sampling — Prompts are submitted to one or more AI platforms through their available APIs or interfaces.
  3. Response Analysis — We analyze the generated responses to identify brand mentions, citations, recommendations, and contextual placement.
  4. Scoring & Classification — Results are categorized and scored using our proprietary algorithms to produce visibility metrics.
  5. Report Generation — Findings are compiled into a structured report with visualizations and actionable recommendations.

This methodology is designed to provide useful estimates, but it has inherent limitations. AI platforms change frequently — they update models, adjust behaviors, modify APIs, and deploy new features that can significantly alter outputs. Our methodology may not always keep pace with these changes.

5. No Guarantee of Accuracy or Completeness

GEO Visibility makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any report, metric, score, or recommendation. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Specifically, we do not guarantee that:

  • A brand's visibility score reflects its actual standing with any AI platform;
  • All citations or mentions of a brand have been identified or correctly classified;
  • Recommendations provided will result in any measurable improvement in visibility;
  • The absence of a recorded mention means a brand is never cited by any AI platform;
  • Results obtained at one point in time will be reproducible at a later date.

6. For Informational Purposes Only

Our reports are provided for informational and reference purposes only. They are not intended to serve as the sole basis for business decisions, investment decisions, marketing strategies, or any other material action. You should:

  • Independently verify any findings that are critical to your business decisions;
  • Consult with qualified professionals before implementing recommendations;
  • Consider multiple data sources when evaluating your brand's AI visibility;
  • Recognize that AI search is an evolving field with frequent changes.

7. Platform Variability & Model Changes

AI platforms frequently update their models, adjust their behavior, modify their APIs, and deploy new features. These changes can significantly alter the output generated by any given query. A brand that was cited in a particular way at the time of our analysis may not be cited in the same way after a model update. Our reports capture data only at the specific time of analysis and cannot account for future changes.

Additionally, different AI platforms may produce substantially different results for the same query based on differences in training data, model architecture, safety filters, and design philosophy. Our reports seek to capture this variability where feasible, but cannot eliminate it.

8. Third-Party Data Dependencies

Our reports rely on data and services provided by third parties, including AI platform APIs, search engines, and data enrichment services. We have no control over the availability, accuracy, or reliability of these third-party data sources. If a third-party service experiences an outage, returns incomplete data, or changes its output format, our reports may be affected accordingly.
